About the Department
Located in state-of-the-art facilities in the historic riverfront area of the vibrant city of Columbus, the Department of Art offers rigorous programs of study that guide students toward becoming creative professionals in their field in Studio Art, Art Education, Graphic Design, Animation, or Art History. Students in Studio Art choose a focus in Book Arts and Printmaking, Ceramics, Narrative Illustration, Painting and Drawing, Photography, Sculpture and Expanded Media, Animation, or Graphic Design. Visiting artists and scholars are regularly in residence and lead workshops or teach courses in topics related to their artistic and scholarly work. The Department has earned full professional accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

My experience with the Department of Art at CSU has been no less than amazing. While studying here, I have gained more knowledge, encouragement, and opportunities than imaginable. I have grown closer to my peers, my professors, and my love of art since being a part of this department.
