Next Steps

You've been admitted — here's what to do next. Work through these steps in order to set up your myCSU access, financial aid, orientation, advising, housing, and campus visit before classes start.

1. Never visited the campus?
   • Schedule a campus visit or attend our Academic Showcase in January or Fall Showcase in October to experience CSU and learn more about life as a Cougar. To register or for more information, visit our events page.
2. Log into MyCSU for deadlines and enrollment status updates.
   
   • First-time users will need to reset their password in order to log in. Visit our Resetting Your OneCSU Password page for more information.
   • First-time users will also be required to register for our multi-factor authentication (MFA) platform during this process as well. Additional information about MFA can be found on our MFA information page.
   • Check holds and your admissions status.
     • Submit your Certificate of Immunization (PDF)
     • Verify your Lawful Presence
   • Submit final transcripts once they become available to the Office of Admission.
3. Submit your Financial Aid - FAFSA.gov
   • Columbus State School Code: 001561

4. Attend Orientation
   • Log into MyCSU.
   • Click "Register for Orientation" under To-Dos section
5. Advising Survey
   • Your Academic Success Coach will use this survey to register you for Fall Courses
6. Submit Housing Application.
   • If you plan to or are required to live on campus, be sure to submit your housing application as soon as possible.

7. Attend Convocation
   • Convocation is Columbus State University’s official welcome for incoming first-year students and is a mandatory part of your first-year experience. To register or for more information, visit our Convocation website.
   • For questions, contact Academic Advising at academic_advising@columbusstate.edu.
8. Attend Accepted Student Celebration
   • Celebrate your acceptance to Columbus State University at our Accepted Student Celebration in April! Connect with future classmates, meet faculty and staff, explore campus, and get ready to become a Cougar.
