Biography

Whitley Hall is a distinguished legal professional serving as the General Counsel at Columbus State University. With an impressive educational background, Hall holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama, and both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Arkansas. She is licensed to practice in both Alabama and Georgia. Thus, she brings a wealth of experience to her role.

Before joining CSU, Hall’s career was marked by significant contributions to the legal field, including her work as a staff attorney for Legal Services Alabama and the Alabama Supreme Court. She has also made notable strides in academia, serving at Auburn University, where she played a pivotal role in investigating Title IX and Equal Employment Opportunity complaints.

A native and resident of Alabama, Hall’s life is also filled with joyous moments with her husband and son, highlighting her well-rounded character and dedication both to her profession and family.

Biography

Takeia Mosala, Contracts Manager & Policy Coordinator at Columbus State University's Office of Legal Affairs, Ethics, and Compliance, brings over a decade of higher education experience and expertise to her role. Starting at CSU in 2010 with the School of Nursing department, Takeia transitioned to the CSU Legal Affairs team in 2021, playing a pivotal role in its establishment and growth. Takeia's academic foundation complements her practical experience.

As a former United States Army Reservist and Veteran, Takeia's disciplined approach, integrity, and innovative mindset drive success within the legal affairs department. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children, embodying a commitment to balance and family values.

Takeia's leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence continue to contribute to Columbus State University's mission of academic excellence and integrity.

Biography

Nicol C. Lewis is the Chief Information Security Officer for Columbus State University. Her role is to ensure that all the university‘s academic and operational data is protected and made accessible within the bounds of CSU and USG information security policies. She joined CSU in May 2021. Her 20-year career in information technology has included progressive duties in data security and cybersecurity, enterprise-wide IT risk management and compliance, and business continuity. In addition to her previous role as the CISO for the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, she has held similar positions with both the Georgia Technology Authority and Georgia Public Library Service. Her education and training background include being a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (EC-Council), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (ISACA), and a Georgia Cybersecurity Academy Graduate.

Biography

Sarah Secoy serves as Columbus State University's Title IX coordinator and Director of the Center for Accommodation and Access. Sarah has worked in residence life at Columbus State for nearly 16 years. The two-time CSU graduate earned her bachelor’s in exercise science and master’s in public administration. As part of her role as residence life director, Secoy served as a Title IX investigator and hearing panelist. She has experience conducting interviews with victims, witnesses, and suspects, as well as recommending disciplinary sanctions if necessary. Secoy also serves as a core member of CSU’s Behavioral Intervention Team, an innovative mental health action group that recently inspired legislation at the national level.

Biography

Ric Barrow serves as the Risk & Compliance Coordinator for Columbus State University. Ric is a native of Columbus, GA, having graduated from Columbus High in 2005. He continued his education at Columbus State University, earning a BBA in Marketing in 2009. Subsequently, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Faulkner University in 2012.

During his time at Faulkner, Ric was an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He also held a 3L practice card, providing counsel for numerous cases at the Family Violence Clinic. Recognized for his dedication to public interest law, Ric was honored as a Public Interest Fellow upon completing the required Pro-Bono work.

Currently residing in Columbus with his wife, Laura Beth, and their daughters, Wren and Hattie, Ric remains committed to serving the university community and upholding the highest standards of risk management and legal practice.
