Group Fitness Schedule - Fall 2022

Note: AquaFIT and Beginner Weight-Lifting begin on September 12.

Class Descriptions

Note: Not all classes are offered every semester.
Note: All classes subject to change.

Cycle X
A 30 minute guided workout on our spinning bikes that takes you through multiple terrains set to exciting and motivating music. Improve your cardiovascular system and strengthen your glute, hips, and thighs with this class!

The world‘s first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums! Using Ripstix®—lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising—POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.

Yoga Flow is based on sports science, alignment principles and the ancient traditions of Yoga. Yoga Flow is for all fitness levels, age groups, and health conditions while maintaining the essence of traditional Yoga practice including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, which is widely practiced for health and relaxation. A regular yoga practice will help transform both your mind and body ultimately helping you find an inner calmness/peace, enhance your balance and stability, and leave you feeling stronger and more centered.

A people-inspired dance fitness program that is a mix of explosive dancing and boot camp toning. Everything about our dance fitness program can be described as explosive – all of our movements are always big, exaggerated, full-out, and our very best.

An interval class that mixes both aerobics and strength training in one designed workout. Many times you may not have 2 hours to spend in the gym so this allows you to work both your heart and your muscles extensively in one class! By doing short circuits of cardio, followed by strategic intervals of strength training, you will definitely leave this class feeling like you used your time efficiently.

Boot Camp
A popular interval class that mixes calisthenics and bodyweight exercises with cardio and strength training. These boot camps are designed in a way to be different all the time, and push our participants harder than they‘d push themselves. We want to keep you guessing - and challenge you differently every class! Although our instructors may push you like a drill sergeant, our goal is to offer encouragement rather than intimidation. We want you to have tons of fun – but please be prepared for some high-intensity training!

Xtreme Hip Hop Step
This is a revamp of traditional step aerobics and includes routines set to old and new school hip hop that makes you want to get up and move while getting a great caloric burn!

An action-packed workout that combines a series of punching and kicking combinations, this class improves strength, muscle tone and endurance. It‘s an intense workout for the participant who wants a challenge.

Cycling x Barre
A fusion class combining the best of indoor cycling and Barre. ~20 minutes of an intense cycle class followed up with a bar-less, barre-type workout.

Cougar CORE
A 15-minute workout focused on all things core that‘s just short enough for you to grab a great workout and still make it to class on time!

This low-impact class is performed in shallow water and is designed to improve joint stability, coordination, heart health, and strength. The class will incorporate cardio and strength, using water dumbbells and flotation belts.

Stretch & Flow
The most forgotten and neglected component of a workout. Come learn proper techniques while getting a great stretch!
