Campus Recreation
Columbus State University is pleased to offer students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other campus community members exciting opportunities for fitness, health and recreational activities through our Student Recreation Center. Located on Main Campus, this $26 million, 106,000-square foot facility houses several fitness areas along with an Aquatic Center.
The facility was designed by Hastings-Chivetta Architects, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri, and opened in January 2011. Since that time, the Recreation Center has been visited by representatives from many other colleges and universities who were looking for ideas and inspiration for their own facilities. In 2013, Columbus State University's Student Recreation Center received the Outstanding Sports Facilities Award from the National Intramural Recreational Sports Administration.
