Aquatic Facilities

  • 5 25-yard lap lanes
  • One-meter spring diving board
  • Water volleyball court
  • Leisure pool including a Lazy River
  • 40-person therapy pool
  • Dry Sauna

Swim Lesson Program

Aquatics Adult Packages – Five Lessons

  • Groups 2–4 people = $50.00
  • Private Individual = $75.00

Lifeguard Training Courses

Interested in becoming a lifeguard?

Next classes: Check back later!

  • Courses are $200 per person
  • Each class is 25-28 hours
  • Course are taught at the CSU Pool and Wet Classroom

Participants must first complete the course pre-requisites in order to be entered in a class. The pre-requisites consist of:

  • 300 yard swim
  • 7-foot brick dive
  • 2 minute tread

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The student recreation center does offer swimming lessons. Any member of the SRC can purchase lessons for themselves or a family but the participant must be 16 years of age when registering for lessons. For more information, please see front desk staff.

Individual private lessons cost $65.00 per participant. This cost will cover 5 1-hour blocks of instruction.

Group lessons can be purchased for $50.00 per participant. This cost will cover 5 1 hour blocks of instruction. Groups are no larger than 3 participants.

Yes, you can obtain your lifeguard certification at the student recreation center. For more information, contact Quenton Brantley at brantley_quenton@columbusstate.edu

The Aquatic Center is available to rent. Please contact University Support Services for more information.
