Student Recreation Aquatic Center

Hours of Operation (Summer 2022)

  • Monday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Thursday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Friday:  11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday:  - Closed -
  • Sunday:  4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Note: Columbus State University host several camps in the summer some of which utilize university facilities including the CSU Aquatics center. We will have several times that the aquatics and locker room will have restricted access. Please check the Aquatics Summer Schedule (PDF) for Open and Closed Swim Times.

Aquatic Facilities

  • 5 25-yard lap lanes
  • One-meter spring diving board
  • Water volleyball court
  • Leisure pool including a Lazy River
  • 40-person therapy pool
  • Dry Sauna

Swim Lesson Program

Aquatics Adult Packages – Five Lessons

  • Groups 2–4 people = $50.00
  • Private Individual = $75.00

Lifeguard Training Courses

Interested in becoming a lifeguard?

Next classes: Check back later!

  • Courses are $200 per person
  • Each class is 25-28 hours
  • Course are taught at the CSU Pool and Wet Classroom

Participants must first complete the course pre-requisites in order to be entered in a class. The pre-requisites consist of:

  • 300 yard swim
  • 7-foot brick dive
  • 2 minute tread

Yes. We have two types: Private and Group Lessons. Private lessons are 5 for $75.00 and group lessons (2–4 people) cost $50.00 each. Please sign up at the front desk or online at RecExpress

The Aquatic Center is not available for rental to outside parties; however, campus groups and registered student organizations (RSOs) may reserve the Aquatic Center for special events and activities by contacting the Student Recreation Center.
