Arrival Information

Make travel arrangements to arrive the week of International Orientation which is always the week prior to the start of classes. Please do not plan to arrive on campus before this week unless you have housing arrangements. If you are staying on campus you will not be able to check into your dorm room until the week of orientation.

Flying to Georgia

You can fly into the Atlanta-Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Atlanta is approximately 90 miles north of Columbus. If you do not have transportation you should use Groome Transportation to bring you to Columbus/Fort Moore. You do not have to have made prior arrangements but you should visit their web site for specific information. The Groome shuttle can be reserved for you - please see Orientation information.

To Find the Groome Shuttle

If you will be taking the Groome Shuttle see the Traveling To Columbus State page for more specific instructions and videos.

Columbus, GA Airport

You can also fly into the Columbus, GA airport. Delta is the only airline that currently flies into Columbus. The airline ticket will be more expensive but you will arrive about 10 minutes from the university. There is no shuttle service from this airport to Columbus State so you would need to take a cab or someone from Columbus State could possibly pick you up if you are arriving during normal business hours.

Study In the States
