Information Security Awareness

Information Security Awareness Campaign
Purpose
The One Click Information Security Awareness Campaign was created to highlight how modern phishing attacks operate and to reinforce a critical truth: It only takes One Click on a malicious link to compromise an entire organization. Cyber attackers rely on distraction, urgency, and human error. One wrong decision can lead to data breaches, system outages, financial loss, and campus‑wide disruption. This campaign’s mission is to strengthen the community’s abilities regarding information security.
What to Expect
- Phishing Simulations
- InfoSec Insights & Advisories
- Bi-annual Security Awareness Training
How You Can Help
- Report Suspicious Emails
- Use the Phish Alert Button (PAB) to report suspicious emails. This will allow UITS to analyze the email and take appropriate action.
- Follow Information Security Policies & Standards
- Security controls exist to protect university systems and data. Bypassing them, even once, can introduce risk.
- Protect Your Credentials
- Never share your password or multi-factor authentication codes, and do not approve unexpected login prompts. One approval is one too many.
Together, We Reduce Risk
The One Click Information Security Awareness Campaign reinforces our commitment to a secure and informed university environment. Ongoing education, realistic testing, and proactive reporting empowers every user to play their part.
One Click. One Too Many.
