Faculty Research Conference Presentation Information

What: Columbus State University will host, as a part of its annual Graduate Research Conference for graduate students, a one-day Faculty Research Conference. This is a great opportunity for faculty and students to attend together and to support one another's research presentations.

When: Wednesday, November 8, 2023

Where: Cunningham Conference Center at Columbus State University, Columbus, Georgia

The conference gives faculty from any discipline the opportunity to present their research through a short (up to 25 minutes with Q & A) oral presentation. While research on any topic may be presented, those in which the faculty have engaged graduate students in their research are especially valued.

Call for Proposals

Faculty are invited to submit proposals (title and abstract) for consideration. The deadline for submission is September 29, 2023. Proposal Acceptances will be emailed by October 4.

Submit a Proposal for the Conference

Note: Make sure to correctly identify the Institution where you are a Faculty member, and the academic department you work under in your proposal. Relevant information from the proposal submission will be used in the conference program.

Conference Registration

All Faculty whose proposals are accepted are required to register for the conference no later than October 6. The registration cost to participate in the conference is $40 for non-Columbus State University faculty, and $20 for Columbus State University faculty.

Students, faculty and guests who attend the conference as audience members of faculty or graduate student presentations can do so at no cost, and without registering. Any persons interested in attending the whole conference should register to attend and pay the registration fee.

Equipment

Presentation rooms will be equipped with:

  • Windows desktop computer
  • Data projector

It is not recommended that presenters bring their own laptops to connect with the Cunningham system, but if you do you must bring your own adapter.
