The Columbus Iron Works was established in Columbus, Georgia in 1853, incorporated
in 1856, destroyed by fires in 1865 and 1902 and rebuilt each time.
Scope and ContentThis consists of a single contract (with specifications for parts and services) between the Columbus Iron Works and the Eutaw Water Works, Electric & Power Co. of Eutaw, Alabama for the construction and installation of a 5 ton ice machine for the manufacture of ice by the use of ammonia.
