Thomas, Jr. Archives and Special Collections, located on the ground floor of the Simon Schwob Memorial Library, serves as a repository for materials documenting the history of Columbus State University and the city of Columbus as well as the broader Chattahoochee Valley area. Columbus State University has officially named its Archives & Special Collections after Kenneth H. Thomas Jr. in recognition of a significant philanthropic gift from the renowned historian, preservationist and Columbus native.
