Biography

As the coordinator for Columbus State University's Physical Activity and Wellness program, Erick Richman encourages students to find fun in their exercise, joy in their present abilities, and success in their personal goals through a scientific understanding of human physiology, psychology, and biomechanics. As a trained journalist, he is able to share with students a deep awareness of the role of language and critical analysis in education and health and to facilitate impactful conversations on the history and effects of media on personal wellness. He earned both his B.A. in English Professional Writing and his M.S. in Exercise Science here at Columbus State University and has published the results of his thesis in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
