Biography

Dr. Herring is a Registered Nurse (RN) with 27 years of clinical experience with a focus on medical-surgical nursing. She teaches in the prelicensure nursing program at Columbus State University, which is her alma mater. Her research trajectory focuses on the content validity and reliability of teacher-made course exams in prelicensure nursing education programs. Dr. Herring is a 2023 recipient of the National League for Nursing (NLN) Nursing Education Scholarship for her research titled Prelicensure Academic Nurse Educators' Use of Exam and Item Analysis.
