Biography

Dr. Herring is a Registered Nurse (RN) with a clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Columbus State University, which is her alma mater. Her research trajectory focuses on the content validity and reliability of teacher-made course exams in prelicensure nursing education programs. Dr. Herring is a 2023 recipient of the National League for Nursing (NLN) Foundation Scholarship for her research titled Prelicensure Academic Nurse Educators' Use of Exam and Item Analysis. She has presented her research findings both locally and nationally.
