Jasmine Bohannon (LSAMP Scholar Alumni - CSU '20)
CSU American Institute of Chemists, Inc. 2020 Award Winner
This award is given to a top graduating undergraduate or graduate chemistry major.
The award is given in recognition of a demonstrated record of leadership ability,
character, scholastic achievement, and advancement potential in the chemical professions.
Jasmine is currently a first year PhD Student and a Bridge to Doctorate LSAMP Fellow
at the University of South Carolina. She is working on her PhD in Analytical Chemistry.

Corey Stewart (LSAMP Scholar Alumni - CSU '19)
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam on the first try. The exam is the
first step to becoming a certified practicing professional engineer. Corey is currently
attending Auburn University (Fall 2020) to obtain his MS in Electrical Engineering.

Jesus Gonzalez (LSAMP Scholar - CTC)
Awarded the 2020 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOALS) student of the Year
for Columbus Technical College. The award recognizes technical college students for

Kanesha Merrit (LSAMP Scholar - CTC)
A Biology A.S. major at Columbus Technical College recently transferred to CSU to
complete her BS in Biology. She has been accepted as a CSU LSAMP Scholar.

Bradley Henry (former LSAMP Scholar - VSU)
A pre-engineering major at Valdosta, completed the VSU 2-year program and was accepted
into Auburn University Engineering School (Spring 2020) to complete his baccalaureate
degree in Engineering. He is currently a participant in the Auburn University LSAMP
(Greater Alabama Black Belt Region LSAMP Alliance) program.

Mikala Martin (LSAMP Scholar Alumni - CSU ’20)
Graduated with a BS in Biology. She has applied to an MS and PhD program at Howard
University and a MS program at PCOM.

Melvin Whitsett (LSAMP Scholar Alumni - ABAC ’20)
Graduated with a BS in Biology and is working on Post-bac courses while working as
a chemistry lab assistant at ABAC.
