Biography

Graduating from The Catholic University of America and Penn State, Dr. McCallus has been a professor at Columbus State University since 1994. Dr. McCallus designed the Professional Writing program, and he teaches Advertising Writing, Writing in the Workplace, Technical and Scientific Writing, Theories of Rhetoric, and Grant Writing, as well as directing program internships. He was instrumental in the creation of the Professional Writing computer lab. Dr. McCallus has published three books on the American involvement in the Philippines. A fourth is scheduled for a 2017 release. In 2011, he was presented the College of Letters and Sciences Research Award.
