Biography

Armando Fernandez is a Lecturer of Cybersecurity in the School of Computer Science at Columbus State University, Columbus, GA. He brings more than twenty years of experience in military talent acquisition and operations management to his academic role.

He earned his Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management from Columbus State University. He also holds CompTIA ITF+ and INE eJPT certifications.

His professional interests include cybersecurity workforce development, network and information security, risk management, and applied, scenario-based training aligned with industry needs. Since joining Columbus State University, he has contributed to significant program growth and emphasizes practical skills, leadership development, and career readiness in cybersecurity education.
