Greetings from the Graduate School, and welcome to Columbus State University!

It’s an exciting time to pursue a graduate degree at Columbus State University! You have joined a vibrant community of artists, researchers, and educators who are committed to challenging you and immersing you in a compelling and creative academic environment. You will work alongside remarkable scholars to expand knowledge, advance discoveries, and make unique contributions to your discipline.

Our diverse graduate student population of approximately 1500 students comprises almost 19% of the total student population and includes many international students, working professionals, non-traditional students, and traditional students pursuing degrees in face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online programs.

At Columbus State University, we believe graduate education should encompass more than just specialized knowledge. We believe graduate education should enrich the student holistically by providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Graduate School supports professional development initiatives like the Three Minute Thesis, The Graduate Writing Retreat, The Graduate Research Conference, Network and Knowledge, and others that aim to promote transferable skills across disciplines. Our goal is to assist students in gaining the information, skills, and professional presence necessary to succeed in today's competitive job market.
