Healthcare Scholarships

The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking a baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator, students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program, and those enrolled in an accelerated nursing program. Nursing Scholarship Deadlines: March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31.

This $5,000 scholarship is offered twice a year to aspiring medical professionals in their quest to help people overcome their medical issues. CastleBranch-GNSA-Scholarship (Provided by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing)

This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership, and/or mentoring. Award: $2,500 each semester.

March of Dimes Dr. Margaret C. Freda Graduate Nursing Scholarship

This award is intended to recognize and promote excellence in nursing care of mothers and babies. The March of Dimes offers several $4,000 scholarships annually to registered nurses enrolled in a graduate program of maternal-child nursing.

The Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation (NPHF) seeks funding to support NP graduate students as well as NP clinicians through scholarship and award programs for research, advances in clinical practice, and patient education. Encouraging research and innovation in NP practice, in addition to helping NP graduate students attain their degrees, are key focal points of the NPHF.

American Indian Graduate Center offers a variety of funding opportunities for graduate students including MA, MS, PhD, STEM, Medical, Law, MBA, and other professional degrees.

Established in 1970, the National Black MBA Association® is dedicated to developing partnerships that result in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth in the Black community. The NBMBAA® Graduate Scholarship Program awards tuition assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional leadership potential, and are actively involved in their local communities through service to others.

NAHN are awarded annually to active NAHN members enrolled in accredited LVN/LPN, associate, diploma, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing programs. Scholarship recipients are a select group of Hispanic nursing students who demonstrate promise of professional contributions to the nursing profession and who have the potential to act as role models for other aspiring nursing students.

More and more women all over the world are seeking graduate degrees to enter into professional careers. When coupled with life's challenges, such as balancing work and family, furthering a career in a struggling economy or entering into professions traditionally dominated by men, finding a way to pay for these added years of schooling can be difficult. Phi Kappa Phi awards nearly $1 million each year to students, Phi Kappa Phi members, chapters and institutions. Graduate students may be eligible for four of the Society's award programs:

  • Dissertation Fellowships support members in the dissertation writing stage of doctoral study.
  • Fellowships are available for members entering the first year of graduate or professional study.
  • Literacy Grants are available for members and chapters championing literacy initiatives.
  • Love of Learning Awards help fund post-baccalaureate professional development for members.

The Laura Bassi Scholarship was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed, within their disciplines. The scholarships are open to every discipline and are awarded three time per year: December, April, and August. The value of the scholarships are remitted through editorial assistance as follows: Doctoral candidates: $2,500; Master's candidates: $750. All currently enrolled master's and doctoral candidates are eligible to apply, as are academics in the first five years of their employment.
