Women's Health

The Women's Health Clinic at the Student Health Services offers caring, confidential counseling and education to enhance your overall health.

Patients are seen by appointment and are encouraged to make appointments for annual exams two weeks in advance. If you have concerns or issues regarding sexual health, call our clinic for an appointment at (706) 507-8620.

Services Offered

  • Annual examination with/without PAP
  • Contraceptive counseling and education
  • Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, evaluation and treatment
  • Emergency contraceptive counseling
  • Pregnancy testing

The evaluation, education and counseling are included in the Student Health Fee. There will be charges for lab tests and medications.

Lab Fees May Include:

Annual Well Woman Exam with PAP and STI testing

  • Age 21-29 - $60
  • Age 30 or older - $115
  • Age 20 or younger (without PAP) - $35

Based on the new Pap smear guidelines set by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), we still recommend a yearly physical including a breast exam, pelvic exam and STI screening if indicated. If you have ever had an abnormal Pap smear, consult with your Health Services provider concerning how often you will need a Pap smear.

If indicated - additional charges

  • Urine pregnancy test - $5
  • STI Testing (GC/Chlamydia) - $35

Free HIV Testing offered periodically through the school year - Call for appointment.
