Georgia Poetry Circuit Reading by Tim Seibles

Tim Seibles was born in Philadelphia in 1955. He was the Poet Laureate of Virginia from 2016 to 2018. His poems engage many aspects of life, from the romantic to the sociopolitical to the mystical. He has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts fellow and a fellowship from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. His most recent collection, Voodoo Libretto: New & selected Poems was released by Etruscan Press in 2021. A new book of poems, With No Hat, will be published in early 2026.

Named in honor of Carson McCullers's close friend, world-renowned composer David Diamond, the David Diamond Reading & Recital Series pairs a Columbus State University creative writing student with a soloist or small ensemble from the Schwob School of Music for a reading of original work by the writer and a performance of reportorial pieces by the musicians.
