Explore how the human body moves, performs, and heals. The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Columbus State University blends theory and applied science to prepare you for careers in health, fitness, education, and rehabilitation. With hands-on experiences and two distinct concentrations, this degree is ideal for students pursuing physical therapy, coaching, wellness careers, or P–12 teaching certification.
Tracks and Concentrations
Exercise Science (Concentration)
Study the science behind human movement and performance. Prepares you for careers in fitness, rehab, or graduate programs in health-related fields. It’s also an excellent foundation for graduate programs in health and fitness-related fields.
Health and Physical Education (Concentration)
Explore all areas of health education as you study physical fitness science, sport coaching, and recreation.
Health and Physical Education Teacher (Concentration) - Georgia PSC-Approved
Prepares you to teach preschool through high school with classroom, lab, and hands-on field experiences, guided by P-12 educators and aligned to teaching standards.
Health and Physical Education Non-Certification (Concentration)
Prepares you for careers in coaching and sports by combining classroom, lab, and hands-on experiences to build teaching and evaluation skills for all ages.
Exercise Science (Minor)
Explore the science of human movement and performance through this 15-credit-hour minor, open to all majors.
