The Donald L. Jordan Prize for Literary Excellence

The finalists' manuscripts are now being sent on to this year's final judge, Maureen Gibbon. Our contest will open this year on May 31st 2026 and close on October 31st 2026.

The Donald L. Jordan Literary Prize for Excellence was created to provide an unwavering publication venue for writers whose work otherwise might not find a readership. This national and global prize carries a $10,000 cash award, and a contract for publication with CSU Press. At present, we partner with UGA Press for our marketing and distribution.
