Scope and Content

This material documents the construction of Spencer High School (originally called the Negro Industrial High School) with the support of the Julius Rosenwald Foundation and George Foster Peabody . It consists of photocopies of papers from the Rosenwald Archives held at the Special Collections of the library of Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. They detail the process of requesting funding from the granting organizations as well as progress reports of the architects and construction managers. 1928-1931 1 folder (.1 l.f.)
