This bible was a Christmas gift from Mrs. George Parker Swift, Sr. to Mr. and Mrs. George Parker Swift, Jr. in 1875. The Swift families were the owners of the Swift Manufacturing Company, Muscogee Manufacturing Company, Swift Mills and many other Columbus, Georgia businesses.

Scope and Content

This is the family bible of the George Parker Swift, Jr. branch of the family. It includes Family History pages, between the Old and New Testaments, containing information on the marriages, births and deaths of numerous Swift family members. 1874 1 box (.3 l.f.)
