Welcome to Cougar Nation! We are so excited that you'll be continuing your education at Columbus State University.

We want you to be as prepared as possible before you start, so use this website as your guide through the enrollment process.

If you haven't yet, be sure to complete our Enrollment Confirmation form and let us know that you'll be joining Cougar Nation.

Select Your Student Type

  1. Get Accepted!
  2. Submit your FAFSA
    1. StudentAid.gov
    2. CSU’s School Code: 001561
  3. Register for ROAR Orientation
    1. Orientation
    2. ROAR Orientation is an in-person event and REQUIRED for all first-year students.
    3. Registration Costs: $85/student and $25/guest
  4. Register for Classes by Completing your Advising Survey
    1. Log in to MyCSU.ColumbusState.edu > Student Records > Surveys > Advising Survey
  5. Apply for Housing (if applicable)
    1. Residence Life
    2. Complete your application for housing & pay the non-refundable application fee.
  6. Submit your Final High School Transcript
    1. Submit your final high school transcript AFTER graduation.
  7. Submit Remaining Required Documents
    1. Lawful Presence Verification
    2. Immunization Documentation
    3. Be sure to check MyCSU to view all outstanding holds and submit requested documents ASAP.

  3. Register for Transfer ROAR Orientation
    1. Orientation
    2. Transfer ROAR Orientation is virtual and REQUIRED for all new transfer students.
    3. Registration Costs: $25/student
  4. Check your Degree Works for Completed Transcript Evaluations, Applied Credits, & GPA
    1. Log in to MyCSU.ColumbusState.edu > Students > CSU Services > DegreeWorks
  5. Contact your Academic Advisor*
    1. Contact the Transfer Academic Advisor, Julianne Lowry
    2. OR log in to MyCSU > Students Menu > My Academic Profile > Locate Advisor
    3. *All new students must meet with an advisor to register for classes.
  6. Submit Remaining Required Documents
    1. Lawful Presence Verification
    2. Immunization Documentation
    3. Be sure to check MyCSU to view all outstanding holds and submit requested documents ASAP.

    1. Log in to MyCSU.ColumbusState.edu > Student Records > Surveys > Advising Survey
    2. Meet with your academic advisor during your virtual Non-Traditional ROAR Orientation session.
  5. Submit Remaining Required Documents
    1. Lawful Presence Verification
    2. Immunization Documentation
    3. Be sure to check MyCSU to view all outstanding holds and submit requested documents ASAP.
