Biography

Amy Mutarelli Taylor, Assistant Professor of Dance/Director of Dance at Columbus State University, began dancing in Ocala, Florida, where she studied ballet and various forms of dance. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Auburn University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from the Florida State University. Her primary area of focus is dance technique, and choreography/performance. Amy taught dance previously at Darton State College (Albany, GA) and was the Director of Dance at Louisburg College (Louisburg, NC). She has taught anatomy for dance, dance composition, dance history, and various levels of ballet, jazz, modern, and tap dance. In addition, she also directs two dance concerts per season on the Riverside Theatre Main Stage. Amy is an avid figure skating fan, and enjoys watching college football.
