Biography

Dr. Carlene Robinson (she/they) joined Columbus State University faculty as Assistant Professor in Spring 2025. Prior to arriving at CSU, they were working multiple years in state government as an applied epidemiologist in chronic disease and with children with special healthcare needs. Dr. Robinson teaches several courses in Research Methods, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Grant Writing. Her research focuses on social determinants of health, maternal and child health, chronic diseases, community development, and social support systems. She is a member of the Georgia Public Health Association (GPHA), Association of Maternal and Child Programs (AMCHP), and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE).
