Biography

Jose Perez studied at Georgia Southern University where he received his B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition and Food Science and his M.S. in Kinesiology. During his graduate studies he investigated the transient effects of concussions on autonomic functions. He also researched the effects of dietary nitrate supplementation on oxygen consumption during maximal exercise. Along the way he has gathered experience in corporate fitness and health promotion, strength and conditioning with high level athletes, and general exercise prescription in normal and special populations. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the national strength and conditioning association.
