Amy Parsons

Biography

Head of Technical Services, Catalog Librarian and Professor of Library Science at Columbus State University Libraries; I have 40 years of academic and public library experience. I have been at Columbus State University, in Columbus Georgia since 2017. I enjoy technical challenges in my work, figuring out the mystery and solving problems with cataloging and digital metadata. I educate students and faculty helping them find what they need to reach their educational goals and to synthesize new ideas. I especially enjoy working with returning adult students. I enjoy working in the weeds and also stepping back and taking a strategic look. I enjoy organizing information for our students to access and be successful in their higher education journey.
