Biography

Dr. Owen graduated from North Carolina State University in 1986 and then from the University of Virginia, receiving a Ph.D. in 1993. His field of expertise is British Literature of the Restoration and 18^th Century, and he specialized in studies in the novel.  A member of the College English Association, Dr. Owen has taught at Columbus State University for more than twenty years. A member of both Phi Beta Delta and Phi Kappa Phi, he was bestowed Columbus State University’s Faculty Service Award in 2006.
