Biography

Dr. Aesook Moon has been a collaborative pianist of the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University since 2009, where she accompanies voice and instrumental students and University Singers. She received her undergraduate degree in organ performance from the Seoul Presbyterian Seminary and a master’s degree from Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea. She also earned her second master’s degree in organ performance at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. In 2006, she earned a doctor of musical arts degree in organ performance at the University of North Texas. While in Texas, she won the first prize and the best hymn playing award in the William C. Hall Organ Competition.  Prior to coming to Columbus, Dr. Lim was an adjunct organ instructor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has served as organist for First-Centenary United Methodist Church in Chattanooga, TN and First United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL. She also has been played many solo organ recitals and accompanied several choirs. She also currently serves as pianist/ organist for St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbus.
