Biography

Professor Kennel originally hails from Michigan but has spent time working at various theatres and colleges across the country including The Springer Opera House, The Georgia Repertory Theatre, The Hartford Stage Company, Dallas Theater Center, Madison Repertory Theatre, The Ohio Light Opera, Meadowbrook Theatre, Wagner College in New York, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She is a member of the Georgia Theatre Conference, Southeastern Theatre Conference, Phi Beta Delta, and United States Institute of Theatrical Technology (USITT).

Krystal teaches courses in theatrical design and technology, script analysis, and theatre history. She is the Director of Production for the department and has designed lighting, sound, and/or scenery for over one hundred productions on the Riverpark Campus. She is a proud member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging departmental committee. Ever onward!
