Biography
Steven F. Graver, Associate Professor of Theatre and Costume Designer, has been a freelance costume designer and costume technician for over 25 years. He worked in several Broadway costume houses on such productions as Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Blvd., Showboat, Cats, and Crazy for You, and on such films as Hook, Bullets Over Broadway, and 101 Dalmatians. Among his costume design credits are productions for Burt Reynolds' Jupiter Theatre (FL), Jean Cocteau Repertory (NYC), Riverside Shakespeare Co. (NYC), New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, and 10 consecutive seasons at Texas Shakespeare Festival.
Steven arrived as an Assistant Professor at Columbus State University in Fall 1996. During his tenure he has designed costumes for over 75 main stage productions. He has also directed and acted on the CSU stage. He has taught workshops in costuming and makeup at GTC, Georgia Thespian Conference, and Southeastern Theatre Conference.
