Artist Statement

Human civilization evolved in tandem with the ability to excavate and manipulate the Earth's raw materials. Harnessing the properties of stone, metal, and silicon has led to the technologies shaping how we live. This connection between raw material and technological innovation creates a space of exploration for my sculpture, video, performance, and sound installations. In addition, while addressing the links between innovation and society, my work also allows me to uncover and deconstruct the cultural myths, rituals, and environmental impacts generated by civilization's interaction with technology.
