Biography
Alyce Cook earned her PhD in Spanish from the University of Virginia, with a concentration in Latin American Literature and Cultural Studies. She retired in 2021 and currently serves as Part-time Lecturer. She is the recipient of the 2001-02 Columbus State University Faculty Service Award and the 2009-10 Outstanding Teacher of Writing Award. She is also the founder and director of CSU in Mexico, since 1995.

Research Interests
Professor Cook is the recipient of a Loudermilk Award (2000) to study Argentine literature and film in Resistencia, Argentina. She has published articles and book chapters regarding Argentine women writers and serves as a peer reviewer for several literary journals.
