Biography
Alison is a dynamic and versatile singer who navigates the worlds of classical and
contemporary music with equal flair. Her journey as a performer has been quite an
adventure; from delving into the complexities of Bach and the emotive melodies of
Brahms to leading modern worship in churches, Alison's passion for music knows no
bounds.
Alison's impressive credentials speak for themselves. She holds a Bachelor of Music
in Voice from the esteemed University of Kentucky, a Master of Music in Voice from
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and an Artist Diploma in Voice from Columbus
State University. Under the guidance of notable mentors such as Michelle DeBruyn (CSU),
Stephen King (now at Rice University) and the late Gail Robinson (University of Kentucky),
Alison has honed her craft to perfection.
Beyond her role as a dedicated Voice Instructor at Schwob, Alison is the Director
of Vocal Activities at Calvary Christian School. Her leadership extends to guiding
upper school choirs and worship teams, leaving a lasting impact on budding talents.
She has also left her mark as the Music Director for A Christmas To Believe In at
the RiverCenter and has played key roles in various local churches as a worship leader
and choir director.
Alison's influence stretches beyond the classroom, as her students continually achieve
remarkable success in competitions and auditions at prestigious events such as GMEA,
NYSSMA, OMEA, KMEA, and NATS. Her students have gained acceptance into renowned institutions
and have graced both regional and professional productions with their exceptional
talent.
A proud member of NATS, NafMe, and GMEA, Alison is dedicated to fostering a love for
music in others. Her harmonious partnership with husband, Jonathan Badgett, has gifted
them with four children, adding further richness and melody to Alison's life.
