Biography

Before coming to CSU, Akilah had previous experiences working in higher education having held roles at the University of South Carolina, University of Florida, and UC Berkley. She has a strong background in STEM and is currently completing her Ph.D. from Auburn University in Earth System Science. Akilah has a Master’s degree, also from Auburn, in Educational Research and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina in Environmental Sciences. Her assigned academic focus area here at CSU is STEM.
