Biography

Dr. Adams is a Cognitive Psychologist with a specialization in Visual Perception and Memory. Her research interest focuses on ways our previous memories and our perceptions (what we think we see) influence each other and may affect other behavioral and thought processes. She is especially interested in how these mnemonic and perceptual aspects might affect learning in a classroom, either from the influence of external stimuli (e.g., emotional objects "distracting" us) or by fostering more effective learning strategies (i.e., metacognition).
