Sociology Club

The Sociology Club is a student organized body composed of students majoring or minoring in Sociology and those who take serious interest in Sociology. It is designed to provide an informal atmosphere for discussion within academic and social settings. Guest speakers, career workshops, field trips, and pertinent social issues are important areas of interest for the club. The Sociology Club is also a place for students to network and gain information about graduate schools, professional conferences, job opportunities, and mentoring relationships with colleagues and professors.

Club Mission

Our mission is to foster greater cohesiveness among Sociology majors, to provide opportunities for student/faculty interaction outside of the classroom, and to provide opportunities to learn about society. The club routinely involves itself in volunteer opportunities, both on and off campus, which instills within majors the idea of sociology as an active and positive influence on society and the community.
