August 21, 2020 - Students, Make Wise Choices This Weekend
The future of the fall semester is in our hands.
You have an incredible opportunity this weekend to positively affect the health and safety of every student and employee who steps foot on our campus Monday.
That opportunity? It's simple: make wise choices. Continuing to do so into the weekend may be uncomfortable, but your sacrifice will benefit others and help CSU remain open for in-person experiences.
Keep wearing your face covering. Doing so is as much for others as for yourself. Please live out CSU's core values by demonstrating your care for others.
Keep maintaining six feet of physical distancing space with others, even in very small groups. It is difficult and feels awkward, but it is important.
Keep washing your hands often.
Stick to small groups and politely decline invitations to large gatherings. As tempting as it will be to blow off some steam and celebrate the end of the first week of classes, be smart in how you do so.
Avoid sharing food and beverages. Remember: this virus can be transferred through saliva as we eat, drink, talk, sing, and, yes, even kiss one another (sorry!).
Weekends might be a break from classes, but they are not a break from reducing the spread of COVID-19 on campus and in our community.
Ultimately, as young adults, the choice is yours. Please partner with us in doing all we can to maintain a safe and healthy fall semester for every CSU Cougar. Thank you for helping demonstrate that #CougarsCare.
