April 9, 2020 - Essential Physically Present Employees Campus Access Reminder
In accordance with the extension of Governor Kemp’s Executive Order to shelter in place until April 30, the University has established a list of Essential Physically Present Employees. Each Vice President and Executive Leadership Team member has provided the Office of Human Resources with the names of employees that should be on campus to perform time-sensitive and specific duties. These employees should have a memorandum authorizing them to be on campus.
Individuals who have not been designated as Essential Physically Present Employees should not come to campus unless instructed to do so by the University. In the rare instance that a faculty or staff member who has been designated as a 100% remote worker must come to campus they should:
- Call University Police (706-568-2022) prior to their arrival on campus
- Provide UPD with the nature of their visit, expected time of arrival and the location of their visit
- Provide UPD with their expected time of departure from campus.
These restrictions have been put in place to protect the health of our campus community. Employees who violate this directive could be subject to disciplinary actions.
We will continue to update you via email, social channels, and on the resource page at https://www.columbusstate.edu/covid-response/ as this situation develops and additional directives are issued. Contact Chip Reese if you have any questions, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please take every precaution to keep yourself, your family and your community safe.
