March 9, 2020 - Message from President Markwood
The health, welfare, and safety of our students, faculty, and staff is my top priority for CSU. I understand many are worried and concerned about fellow students, family, and friends in Columbus and around the world.
University leadership has been working closely with the University System of Georgia on all aspects of the Coronavirus issue.
This week we will have two town hall meetings to answer questions about learning continuity should any changes be necessary to normal working and learning conditions at CSU as well as to bring everyone up to date.
Tuesday the town hall will be in CCT 227 at 11:00 and Wednesday in Frank Brown Hall at 12:00.
We are coordinating all messaging and communications with the University System of Georgia and the CDC for the latest news and instructions. We will place updates on the website: columbusstate.edu/covid-response/
Thankfully there are no known cases in Columbus as of this note. Please take recommended precautions - you will see additional signage and information around campus.
I look forward to seeing you all at the town hall meetings.
Thank you for all that you do for our students, our community, and each other!
President Chris Markwood
