COVID-19 Response and Updates

October 6, 2020 - COVID-19: Health monitoring in the palm of your hand

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

The LiveSafe Mobile App — a resource that has been available to the Columbus State University community for some time — is another tool now available for monitoring your health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Download the LiveSafe Mobile App to your Android or iOS device.
  2. Create an account and indicate that you’re affiliated with Columbus State University.
  3. Locate the “Daily Health Questionnaire” card (it should be at the top of your device screen).

You can rest assured that the LiveSafe app is HIPPA-compliant and protected. If your responses to the health questionnaire indicate you’re at risk of being infected by COVID-19 or exposing others, the app will alert you to complete our online COVID-19 self-reporting form. As of Monday, CSU had 11 active positive, self-reported cases on campus.

The LiveSafe app is more than just a pandemic resource. You can use it to access important CSU information and a campus map. While on campus, you can anonymously report suspicious activity or an incident, or summon help from our CSU Police Department. The app’s “SafeWalk” feature allows you and your friends to watch after each other virtually as you walk to your campus destinations.

Check out the app if you haven’t already and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. You can do so by contacting the CSU Police Department at police@columbusstate.edu.
