Scholarships

The Biology department offers multiple scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students whether you are pursuing research or general coursework:

Student Research and Creative Endeavors Grant (SRACE)

Eligibility
Full-time undergraduates or graduates; must provide letter of support from a faculty member; must engage in research or a scholarly/creative activity outside of regular course work.
GPA Requirement
2.4 minimum for undergraduates. 3.0 minimum for graduates

Not exceeding $300

Biology Alumni Scholarship (Word)

Eligibility
Full-time Undergraduates who are pursuing a biology degree and exhibit financial need.
GPA Requirement
2.5 minimum
Award Amount
$1,000/year per student (may reapply each year)

Decision Process
Committee consisting of Biology faculty and the Financial Aid department
Funds use
Textbooks, tuition, housing, academic travel costs, etc.

The Lenoir Scholarship (Word)

Eligibility
Full-time Undergraduates (junior or senior) who are pursuing a biology degree and exhibit financial need
GPA Requirement
3.0 minimum
Award Amount
$1,000/year per student (may reapply each year)

Flora M. Clark and George Stanton Foundation Research Scholarships

Completion or enrollment in BIOL 4391 or BIOL 5899
