Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
About the Program
Are you ready to make a career change and join the teaching profession? Consider the
Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Secondary Education at CSU. Our program not
only offers a master’s degree but also provides initial T-5 teacher certification
upon completion. Choose from various certification options, including English, History,
Biology, Chemistry, Earth/Space Science, Mathematics, or Physics with certification
in grades 6-12 or Computer Science with certification in grades P-12.
Through our M.A.T. program, you'll gain the essential knowledge, skills, and habits of beginning teachers through advanced pedagogical studies. Our approval by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission ensure that our coursework meets all requirements for Georgia teacher certification.
